Child & Adolescent BH Unit of Children's Hospital
Children's Hospital is a not-for-profit medical center offering the most advanced pediatric care for children from birth to 21 years. With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians, it is the only full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South. The BTD Foundation is honored to partner with the Behavioral Health Unit and Clinic of Children’s Hospital by providing materials for patient use and by donating supplies and labor to make improvements to patient rooms and common areas.
About the Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Center
The Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Center is located at Children’s Hospital’s Calhoun Campus. The program offers acute inpatient treatment specifically designed to meet the needs of children ages 8 to 12 and a separate adolescent unit for teens ages 13 to 17. Patients who are admitted to the program are experiencing acute psychiatric and emotional symptoms that interfere with their ability to function at home and or school.
Project Paint is a hands-on BTD Foundation volunteer opportunity to paint and decorate the Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health Center of Children's Hospital of New Orleans. Project Paint volunteers help paint and decorate bedrooms, hallways and common areas in an effort to beautify an integral part of one of New Orleans finest mental health treatment providers.
